Post Nasal Drip and Nausea

Post Nasal Drip

Post nasal drip is a condition involving the backward flow of excessive mucus down the back of the throat. Post nasal drip may cause you to cough due to the irritation of mucus at the back of your throat, have bad breath and nausea thereby making your life unbearable.

Our bodies produce mucus continuously which we usually swallow unconsciously. The body produces mucus to clean the nose and trap unwanted germs or particles from entering the body. If we did not have mucosal linings lined with mucus in our sinus cavities to trap these germs and particles, they would cause an irritation in the sinus cavities, get into our respiratory system and may even get into our digestive system, causing havoc.
